My journey towards making a data analytics program through Python for Airbnb has been a challenge throughout Covid. However, compared to other projects, I believe my project was in some ways easier due to the nature of the project. Firstly, I was lucky to be able to do my project mainly through the computer with the software Python. With this application and a few functions from online, I didn't need need any outside materials that I had to wait for or use to complete my project. Through this date, I formulated a good amount of my website by adding gantt chart, contact, and about me section. However, the thing I am most proud of is the amount of blog posts I was able to create. In the blog post, I used plenty of pictures, data, and even code snippets to convey my idea to the public. I believe one of the strength of my blogpost is the fact that it is easy to understand. You don't have to be a programmer to understand what I am doing. Not only that, but another thing I am satisfied with is my aesthetics of the website. I believe that the spacing and the colors meshed well together throughout my website and it was pleasant to look at. Although, there were many things that I liked about my project, somethings I wanted to improve included working on my 'about me' section and trying to redesign my gantt chart so that it could update on its own. I was able to expand upon the 'about me section', but I am still working on trying to update my gantt chart, so It could look more aesthetic and easier to understand. In the future, I am planning, on finishing my project and trying to finish out my blog posts by adding couple more. Also, I am thinking of taking this project to another step and analyzing data from a different set of Airbnb in a different city other than New York. I believe that this could be useful as I can try to compare my findings from New York to another city like Seattle.
